| We loved the lakes and wild fauna in Desert Shores, and for all of the renter haters out there, we were RENTERS of a home right on the main lake, to examination it out, and we have to say that we REJECTED Desert Shores, unfortunately. We wanted to beloved the well planned, tree lined streets and ducks and geese and swans, simply permit's face it, Dersert Shores is surrounded by blight and folks that don't care most their properties, and we rented right on the water!!! Still, we would rather live in Providence, so much nicer in the Northwest!!!!! Nosotros bought here in March 2013, when we left Desert Shores. A female person friend of mine from piece of work was sexually assaulted in daylight walking around the lakes at Desert Shores. The young human being thought she was vulnerable, since she was walking her dogs. Desert Shores was well planned and was and is fairly beautiful, but is failing and will proceed to refuse!!!!!!! | LOL, true near some of what you stated, withal, the unabridged area just eastward of Desert Shores is NOT Summerlin, merely blight and homes that are not maintained and terrible apartments that the law tell me are incredibly rancid with offense (I spoke with them personally to get my facts, but anyone can get to their website to view contempo crimes). And, don't go me started about the area simply due east of the 95, non two miles from Desert Shores, worst crime in all of Las Vegas!!!!! And, yeah, you are correct, the area n of Desert Shores, the 2 sets of condos, are rancid with crime. And, to the westward, just about one month agone, a senior man, in Sun Urban center SUMMERLIN, had his forepart door kicked downward and he was murdered, So, virtually sides of Desert Shores are terrible with crime, and I imagine the Pueblo, just south of Desert Shores has terrible crime also...but feel gratis to go to the urban center police website to find out!! We walked in the park there and we did not feel safe at sunset. Nosotros truly love Desert Shores, and we wanted to live at that place...that'southward the reason we rented a home on the primary lake for 2 years, merely we would NEVER desire to alive there later we have all of the facts!!! That is the reason nosotros chose to purchase in Providence!!! Prices may exist increasing in Desert Shores, as they are in Las Vegas equally a whole, better than most cities in the nation. It appears you have had little exposure to bad LV. Desert Shores is not information technology. In fact I would expect virtually they same set of issues in Providence. A mess of neighborhoods there are too tight and went rental in the bust. They will contribute to a substantial nuisance crime problem in Providence. Same thing happened in Centennial. Desert Shores volition non take the problem as bad as it did not go hit as hard by the bust and did not convert whole neighborhoods to rentals. Some on the edges...just mostly owner occupied. |

| Prices have almost doubled since we bought a fully upgraded home two and a half years agone...we are very grateful, with a beutiuful new 2,700sf home with a huge backyard at a iii.25% interest rate...nosotros are grateful to GOD and Providence is so beautiful and safe that prices will go on to rise...in case you haven't heard, Heaven Canyon is planned for 9,000 homes just due north of Providence.,...everyone wants to live here, away from Desert Shores!!! |
